LMAO… So, in the States & Canada we have gyro shops everywhere (Greek) but only a handful of Doner (Turkish) & Schwarma (Middle Eastern & Turkish) shops.

In the US, Gyros, Canada its Donair's. The guy who started it found out Canadians like beef more than lamb so its same spices, Beef and they changed it to a sweeter sauce (condensed milk, sugar, vinegar, garlic)

Donair shops are everywhere.

Schwarma has been around but not popular until a couple chains from Toronto

Homemade apple crumble. Been cooking the apples separate, granny smiths, cooked with a splash of water and no added sugar.
Was a revelation yesterday finding out you can make crumble in the food processor by pulsing it. Makes it no time at all, and no getting sticky fingers. I cook the crumble on a baking sheet, turning every 5 minutes. Comes out love and crunchy, just how I like it.
