Nichol txted me tonight and called.. she wants a list of my appts... she wants to start going with me to them... she said she feels bad she hasn't been there enough for me (ya I know yall know... anyone that stuck with me this far is more there for me than they know)

Anyway.. she was interested in going to a couple of psych appts if possible to better understand that part of me... wow... talk about floor me.. ya you have heard me talk about her but wow... she wants to go to the liver people so she understands that.... I told her no need to go to my primary care doc with me unless she just wants to hear me get chewed out by her... she laughed and said that is the one she MOST wants to go to because I dont have the balls she does to stand up to the lady..

That makes me smile....

Yesterday... my stepson is learning the alphabet in preschool. Overheard this conversation, and it made me giggle:

I used to watch the show on tv. Fairly good Sci Fi, good special effects, but their sidearms looked like old west revolvers. You'd think wardrobe would at least give them little round disks that went ZzzzzzzT, like on Star Trek. Guess I've got a warped view on how a weapon of mass destruction should look in the 31st Century!

All down to the idea of the Film/Series being Steampunk based.

Victorian/Western/Jules Verne world. I loved the series because they were all damn good characters, that had their own quirks. Most other Sci-Fi shows like Star Trek have a lot of commonality within the crew and with other shows which make them one of loads.

Firefly and Serenity are one of a kind.
