2. The two workers at Walmart that helped me basically got everything for me and they both offered to help. Meaning I didn’t ask for help. They were happy to do their job and I appreciate that.

I took a walk along the lake this morning, talked with my dad and siblings, did my laundry, organized the back deck and cooked a fabulous Easter dinner. (J was in his own little world.)

My new dental hygienist. It was my second time seeing her. She’s so gentle and also goes out of her way to explain things. She tries very hard not to set up worry in the patient. She’s the best I’ve ever had, I feel so lucky.

My aunt - checked my mail for the first time in a while and realized she had sent me a belated graduation card and gift card for my associate’s degree, she wrote a lovely note for me as well. When she says she’s proud of me I take it to heart, she was my best mother figure and I’ll always love her for that.

Don't know if I'd call her a hero for doing it, but my friend inadvertently saved my life last night.

We were meant to be going for dinner, but she cancelled. Turned out she'd had a breakdown and was heading into the loony bin for an emergency assessment. She apologised for cancelling and thanked me for standing by her and not leaving her behind like everyone else has done.

Which was awkward, because at that point I was already one double brandy and a handful of sleeping pills into rage quitting life. Of course, I couldn’t very well keep going with her in that state and after what she'd said, so an ambulance was called and I'm still here, albeit I don't really want to be.
