why is being a Christian so hard?

Why does it take everything I have to survive in this world. My ppl are being slaughtered by the hundreds.

I feel God like He’s right next to me, but I have an enemy who’s determined to make my life a living hell.

I just wished I could go back to my drug using days. Where I didn’t worry all the time. Unfortunately I know it will kill me. Please help me folks.

Are you connected to other Christians in recovery from drug addiction? Getting involved in NA or Celebrate Recovery would probably help a lot.

If it was supposed to be easy, it wouldn't make a very good test of the soul.

That's the whole idea right?
This life we have, is a sort of trial for us to prove that we learned of the sins of those before us, understand the reason they were tempted into them and why Jesus died for us to be free from summary damnation from their mistakes. Their human mistakes.
Mistakes and sin, which can still be made and repeated by us now. He didn't die to remove sin from the world, or our ability to commit it. He showed it can be overcome and that doing so is worth even the pain and suffering of crucifixion.

Sometimes its hard because we dont trust God to get us and his people through things. We are used to getting through on our own or by our own means, hence the idea of drugs. You are not alone in this. Sometimes I avoid all Christian stuff just because it makes me feel less guilty or less like I’m undeserving of anything good. I always come back though.

It's hard because our skins don't matter to Him our souls do. Our skins matter to us, we want to be comfortable.
