Great topic!
- Fuzzy Felts
- A monkey who I used tie around my wrist by his tail
- A gold & black coloured teddy bear

Instead of a blankie, I had "Donkey Hanky." A handkerchief with the picture of a donkey on it. If I didn't have Donkey Hanky in my pocket, I was going to have a bad day for sure!

I still have my little red teddy bear. But when my cocker spaniel was in her chew stage she chewed it a bit.

Loloma...those were only about half of the dolls I had.
My so called mother had some stored in the attic and was cleaning it out one day and thought the bag was trash and out they went. UGGG

Loloma, yea I would have loved to still have my old Gerber Baby doll. That was one of them that went.

As a toddler and preschooler my favorite toy was the washing machine. I loved to watch it go round and round and round. I always want to put myself inside and start it up. Soon after I learned how to open the door and could load and unload clothes. All my pictures at that age were with me sitting in front of our washing machine. I even have one with me loading or unloading clothes. So much fun!

Around the same age I also really liked my toy vacuum cleaner. I was really sad that my mom still vacuumed after I had finished it all, smile...

Starting kindergarten my toy medical chest was my favorite toy, especially because a number of the toys worked (e.g. stethoscope).

In either kindergarten or 1st grade my parents flew to Mexico and brought me back an entire hand crafted chess set which my dog and I played constantly. He won most of the time.

Throughout my life books were my constant companions...

Forgot the name of it. But it had monkeys with curled tails and you had to pick up the others using the tails. It came in a little brown barrel.

Some of my really favorite "toys" were model car kits, and some of them were really cool.

Some I built and painted, just from the scraps of other old model kits. Turns out, some of these models became famous. They were Revell kits of custom cars made by acknowledged innovators, most notably Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. He was probably the best design/art person doing this stuff back then. Mid 60's. BTW, Ed Roth and his art (especially "Rat Fink") is (or has made) a huge comeback - maybe more popular than ever. Amazing.
