The main bummer with all my model car fun, was having to deal with crummy made kits. Kits of famous cars i really wanted in my collection. The (original) Batmobile, was one. George Barris (Barris Kustoms) hired a designer to do this one. The kit, however, was made by AMT, and it was not very detailed. More of a beginners kit, and it sucked. :D

I also had the Muster coach and Dragula (both awesome kits by Revell) Plus, did a chop job by taking the Ed Roth (twin engine) Mysterion, and putting it in a Jaguar XKE body, complete with cut-outs on the hood for the fuel injector stacks.

LOL!! Freaking badass!

I forgot what they called but they were peel and stick and could stick the pieces onto a picture that comes with it.

And what about the pencil magnet and one could move around the little pieces and put on the man's head.

Or how about the little picture boxes and could turn the button to advance to other pics.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH is my age showing.

Breyer Horses!! And a small, stuffed seal my oldest brother gave me. I still have them. And books, always books. I still have my copy of Black Beauty that I received when I was about 9 - over 4 decades ago.

James that was like a drawing pad, and you turned it upside down above your head to clear the screen.

I know what Sandra means, but I cant remember the name of it.

You know what I mean Amethist.

And another good one James B the etch a sketch.

I'm slowly remember different things now. It's hard to remeber that far back.

Not sure if you would class this a toy but I also had a snow cone machine.

That ant farm would have neat to watch.

I always loved my crayons and pencils - I loved them all so much I never could pick a favorite colour. I won my first award at 6 years old for a painting I called 'drop bears'. The prize was a voucher at a newsagency and guess what I bought with my prize....water color pencils :)

I always loved my books too. Cocky Locky and Ducky Daddles, The Enchanted Wood, you name it, I would read for hours on end :) I even read to my little sister when she couldn't sleep and she would be out like a light. She still remembers the stories I read to her - word for word.

It's nice to remember that some things have not changed after all these years. I still paint and draw (on a good day) and I have a massive book collection (I'm a little OCD that way). Thanks for this thread, it has made me smile :)

I can't remember lol, i do remember my big yellow tea pot thing though, anyone else have one them?

I also went through i phase with sullvanian families, i loved my doll and pram considering i was a tom boy lol.

Guess the mini-bike was my best "toy".

It was a first year Rupp TT500 ('68?). Came with a whopping 5hp Techumseh engine. First year product; the primary chain would break, snapped by the 1-2 shift. Yes, it had a two speed, was blue with a chrome gas tank. Only crashed it once trying to pass another mini-bike, on the wrong side of the road. Hit some dried cattle footprints in the mud turned hard dirt, on the right shoulder. Fairly low speed, no damage.

Freaking dusted off, and rode on...! :D LMAO.
