News Florida man charged with trying to 'barbecue' sex offenders at motel

how did the arsonist learn they were there? The sex offenders registry doesn't keep a GPS tracker on them does it?
I pay for a monthly service which does many things for me, and one of those things is the location of every sex offender in my area. It gives me the name and address and level of the sex offender.

It's therapy, Contribution to society. them paying for my therapy not me, nor other taxpayers but them.
You can't MAKE people go to therapy and expect it to be effective. So to me, that would be a red herring insofar as expectations that it would 'cure' the pedophile. An appeasement of the masses so to speak.

I studied pedophile behaviour for quite some time when ramping up for my digital forensics career. Pedophiles are known to make networks - because it is safer that way for all of them. They have each others backs and share information. And children. There is strength in numbers right?

But here is my issue with this talk about 'helping the pedophile reform' bullshit (in my personal opinion). Until there is therapy provided to the victims of these crimes - we should absolutely NOT be allowing these assholes to better themselves on our dime. They can't pay for it unless they have computers, work and socialize among others. They are always looking for new opportunities to victimize, so that can't happen. And kids are so easy to target. Also nobody believes them when push comes to shove.

This is a systemic problem and until the masses push these asshole law makers to actually take this crime seriously, there will always be pedophile rings. I actually think that Martha Stewart got more time in jail than most pedophiles do. It is disgusting and I don't blame this guy for trying to take things into his own hands when society is so flippant about this issue. For gods sake, somebody needs to do something.

@Zoogal The sex offender registry/map is free & nationwide... but having a service collate all that information for you saves someone having to take the time -and accompanying stress, and focused attention- in wading through that sewer one’s self on a regular basis, or having alerts pop up on your phone at the worst time possible.

Not all services are willing to include that aspect -or certain other aspects- in their information packets, because that’s a difficult thing even for many people without PTSD, or a history of sexual trauma to search through each week/month.

Software programs can make it easier, but the best news feeds are still put together by people, instead of algorithms. Very much the same as the difference between the spirit of the law, and the letter of the law.

Why do you have to pay for it? That should be common info.
It comes with a service which monitors my ID because I'm a victim of identity theft, and I'm required to keep a service like this for the rest of my life. It was an odd situation where the person only used my social security number. Even the credit bureaus said they never saw anything like it before. Every once in awhile the woman shows up using my SS# to do get something where she needs good credit. Her credit is shot from what I understand. I know her name and where she lives. She's an illegal alien along with her whole extended family. The credit bureaus have been told to keep our SS#s separated and with our appropriate names. One person who helped me with my account said that the woman has her own SS#. So why use mine when you've got your own? Because mine gets her what she wants.

I got side tracked by something and didn't get back to this thread, whoops.
and two were on the registry and TWO WERE NOT.
This was the line that got me thinking, it's just too much of a coincidence.
How would the would be arsonist know about those two?
Unless they were communicating in private with one another.
I'm wondering if either the arsonist stumbled upon this, or infiltrated their little clique?

I know that in the US, the sex offenders registry is public access. Unlike here in Canada (for reasons I can't f*cking fathom).
I am also pretty sure it doesn't tell you when said registered offender goes out to the shops, or stays in a motel. You would have to know they are planning to do so, right?

Which then would apply to both the arsonist as well as the other pedo's.
I would think it pretty unlikely that any of this was just timing.

As @blackemerald1 had said. I was commenting in a bit of jest at the headline.
While I certainly don't think vigilante arson is in anyway appropriate or good, and am glad no one was harmed.
I'm also quite glad someone crashed the pedo party that appears to have been taking place as well.

I think what @Mee said was great, in a perfect world.
Unfortunately the world we do live in really isn't up to making such a thing possible at this time.
As was said a couple times already, until the victims of such horrid crimes can expect to be given something useful in the way of justice and rehabilitation. I don't think it's appropriate for the perpetrator to receive anything better than the victims get. Which they already do.

So again. Sorry for the macabre humour, but I don't give a f*ck about a pedo's rehab or comfort. The victims sure don't get much in the way of either as is. Sad considering the children really are the truly innocent.

It's just one of those laugh or cry things. I don't cry.

In a perfect world they’d all go to prison!

General population!

And anyone who loves watching prison shows as much as I do knows about convict code...

Reasons for conviction never stay silent for long.

Yeah, baby! It’s funny how convicts don’t tolerate this shit while society does. It really makes you wonder...

who loves watching prison shows as much as I do
Maybe that is part of the problem.

I could make a longer rant on fetishization of prison, gang, certain paramilitaries culture and torture, and how shows watching people better reserve judgment on things they have not experienced, but I do not think it would be heard out.

Jungle justice is not justice, not even in the jungle.
