The temps have dropped by 10 degrees but we are still hotter than normal. There are so many fires in the state that it gets hard to breathe and the inside of the house smells like a campfire. We need RAIN!!!!

How I wish we could ship you some of the flooding rains that have hit out state! (NC) Maybe Florence will hold up until she gets out there!

I hope you are safe and do not have wind or water damages to deal with. We have some friends who live in various areas of N.C. We know two families are OK but have yet to hear from the other. Fires, storms, disasters etc are a real test to the resilience of life, isn't it? Not necessarily something we want to go through but may have to, in varying degrees, through our lives, huh? You guys have too much rain and we don't have enough. But, there is still much to be thankful for, I suspect, in the lack and the overabundance. We can both hope for a better day and better weather! :)

Its 67 and cloudy. Went to the doctor this morning and I was actually chilly.

Windy and intermittent rain. Twas very strong winds last night. Calmer now. First time this year I've needed to put on something warm to go out.

More rain that I wish I could send your way, @blackemerald1 . More flooding...more dreariness...more swamp-like areas...more chances to scoop some water out of places it shouldn't be...more waterways/drinking water being f*cked up by coal ash and animal agriculture industries....more things to bitch about, apparently.
