Yea. You're totally right Shimmerz; this is crucial with energy work. I went to some real weirdos before I found my teacher and it can be really destabilizing to do this kind of work with someone who's not a good fit.
 
In a broad sense, anything that releases energy can be destabilizing. I did effectively chakra opening work via Dahn Yoga about 8 years ago, felt good, then great, than amazing, then derailed and went bonkers (not the clinical term). I agree with lower chakra work being important to ground, or not chakra work -- honestly though I've had that experience, and know some, I know very very little about how such work should be done, when it's safe, etc. I turned back to hiking, which is less complex for me to understand. Seems to do good things but keep my feet on the ground ;)
 
With all respect to people's beliefs, @Jennell I'd avoid all of this spiritual awakening / chacra / whatever circles miles distance, for quite a bit.

You need to ground. You need tools to be in reality. You can explore everything else when reality becomes stable and you become grounded in it, and aware how to ground yourself when you're not stable. An area full of confusing opinions & questionable people won't help you in that phase.
 
What can I do about not feeling like myself,things just come out of my mouth.mu creativity has gone down,I feel slow.i feel like who am I am I real?.im also purchasing this grounding technique book so I hope that helps.

What makes you feel more in touch with you that's easy to do and you could do daily?

Creativity will come back up, it comes and goes pretty naturally, artist blocks happen and what not, just wait up, it will ease on its own.

That's depersonalization & derealization. It's a symptom. You fight it, just like every other symptom.

I don't feel like me... But I am me.
World doesn't feel real... But it is real.
Feelings... Aren't reality. Try to feel reality.

Try to slow everything down. Taste the food you're eating. Feel it in your mouth. The shower you're taking, feel the water on your skin. The music you're listening to, the changes in notes. The colors nearby you. Smell the air, note the temperature. Move your body on purpose. Touch your hand, the wall, your face. Big motions, stand up and stretch. Small motion, write a word. These things are all real. Make connections in the world. 10,000 connections.

Not feeling real is super useful in an emergency. Your brain is doing this to protect you, because it thinks it's an emergency. You need to get your mind to get your brain to calm down. Avoid your imagination right now, and connect. Here, there, here, there. All 5 senses. Try to connect them to the world. It won't work well, at first, most likely. That's normal and okay. Keep doing it. Be here, now.

I think first and foremost you need to find tools that help you to understand when you are grounded or not grounded. Find ways of learning how to ground. Know what is throwing you into depersonalization vs. dissociation. I found that a great T-doc working with me was the key in that. THEN I started to work on the energy level.

For myself, it was the body and mind stuff that was infringing on my lifestyle.... I needed to deal with that first.
 
You know, in thinking about this again (it has been a long time since the 'early days'), I had a shaman that used to do EFT with me (which is basically energy work). She used to encourage me to do EFT on my own.... keeping in mind that I had NO idea what my trauma was as it was prior to the age of two. I had this 'gut feeling' that I couldn't do it on my own. I don't know why. She kept insisting, actually, that I try it on my own. I refused.

Then one day as I was working with her I had the biggest freaking meltdown known to mankind. I completely LOST it. Then I realized why I couldn't do it on my own.

Energy is really freaking powerful and when you don't know how to control it or have a sense of how to channel it properly, well, it isn't good to mess around with. Certainly not on your own.

Sorry to pop back in, but I think that this is important enough to say.
 
I've lost all my feelings for my significant other and I don't want to I feel no attachment and I don't feel in love when before I did the chakra meditation I did.help

And what about your feelings for yourself. Do you still have them? It is possible that it is a generalized 'lost my feelings' rather than specifically towards your spouse. Not sure.... what do you think?

Do you know of a healer that works with chakras? This stuff is pretty big to be working on by yourself.
