I haven't been able to say anything in detail to my therapist because when I go to say theres like a physical block in my throat that prevents me. So I write it down and give it to her and then she will direct the conversation towards that. I find that so much easier and I can write as much detail as I want to because I dont have to read it out.

Hope things get easier for you in therapy.❤

I'm like this.Physically incapable of discussing it head on.He tried asking if I could just tell him in what category we were going before I gave him the link to my introduction post here, and I tried, but started to hyperventilate.It's just SOOOO compartimentalized.

Who told you in isn’t rape?

You can be raped with a penis.

You can be raped with a hand. (It’s called digital rape.)

You can be raped with an object.

The idea that rape has to involve a penis simply isn’t true. Female on female rape is indeed a thing.

This story is very familiar to mine and and I have struggled calling it what it was because it was force with fingers not a penis. And I kept thinking others go thru worse so I shouldn't be traumatized by it.

Totally sympathize. I still have difficulty verbalizing details. My T said there is a fine line between giving details & being retraumatized. Recently there was info he needed involving the details in order to understand the situation but I just couldn't. Your description of events in his office sounds so much like what happened to me. He said we didn't need to discuss it but he needed to know to understand. So I wrote it out on a piece of paper, couldn't even email. Now he knows. I know. And perhaps we will discuss it or not.
