About Me - Trying to Write a Paper on PTSD

Hello everyone I am new to this site. I have lived with someone that has PTSD and now i am trying to write a paper on it for Sociology and Gen. Psycology. I have 2 children and we are looking to understand PTSD more.

Hi, Lorna - welcome to the forum. Hopefully you will find a lot of good resources for your paper here; it's a great place for both learning and support. What in particular is your paper about? If you have any specific questions, I know I'd be happy to try and answer them from the point of a PTSD sufferer/survivor, and I'd imagine there are others who would do so as well.

Hi Lorna,
Good to see someone trying to bring PTSD more out in the open. As you can see lots of help available, happy to add my name to the list. My girl friend is a psychologist and I have been trying to help her to understand... It can only help, so thanks and welcome.

I think you will find that most of us are more than willing to help. The more people understand this thing called PTSD the more the stigma will disappear.

You can read my diary if you want..I have improved..but PTSD is a hard disease to live with. I have been here 2 years and see progress!
