Anxious And Cold

Anyone ever get cold when being anxious. I sometimes, get really cold, and my hands get almost numb from the cold when I get anxious. There have been times when I was really anxious, that I shook from being so cold.

Ok, so I'm weird, but everyone here already knows that...... seriously though cold!!!!

May be hypothiroidism? I have it, and same times I get so cold that I think, dying must be somerhing alike...

Yep!

Even though I know it's my blood being sucked to my core, as part of the flight/fight response, and my body trying to protect itself... It's just like; Yo! Body! How is this any different from when you're making us fat, all worried about starvation that ain't gonna happen? We've talked about this! Stop that! <<< Sigh. It never listens to me.

Some of my trauma shit is wrapped up in freezing my balls off, too, so that piece rolls on. It's just like, what is this? Anxiety or flashback? Both? :wtf:

Yes. Since I've been going through this I've been cold very often. When I'm okay, I'm usually warm. Yesterday my new meds were making me shake and I was freezing.

I am anxious today. Have been cold almost all day. What I want to do is go to bed, get snuggly warm and sleep for a week.
And I keep holding my breath! That part makes me mad at myself for having to use energy I don't have..to remind myself to breathe.

@MariaY I wish it was hypothyroidism, then I'd have an excuse for my ever growing large ass.

@Friday yeah, just jumped in the shower. Still cold, but not as freaking cold as before. I have this awesome bedspread, quilt whatever. It's faux sheep fur, ot whatever that shit is. Brain dead from the cold.....OMG!!!! Love it.

@Mim28 My hands get really cold. Whenever this happens, it starts with my hands and I know what's coming.... I'm freezing.

@ladee i love staying in bed. I know it's bad, but god how I love to snuggle down and just say screw it....

Yes, I was going to ask this question myself. Sometimes when anxious, always post flashback...feel like my body's regulation system just shuts down.

@She Cat , have you talked with your DR about the possibility of you having Raynaud's Phenomonem?
It can be caused by a number of things...cold,anxiety.different things..
My son has it and so does his dad. Might want to check it out.

@ladee My sister has Raynauds, along with Sjogrens, and I have a few autoimmune disorders too, but not Raynauds. I'm thinking that this might be just part of anxiety, maybe fight/flight. IDK!!!! It's when I get anxious, but not really an anxiety attack. I had another eye Dr appointment yesterday for the detached viterous and double vision, and by the time I got out of there, I was shaking a bit and cold...

@ladee Eye is doing better, will take months to finally heal, if it's going to. It could be permanent, but I'm hopeful it won't be. Thanks for the :hug: they are always welcome!!!
