Starry with a little bit of wind.

It's well above freezing, so no ice or snow.

It's pleasant enough outside that I was messing around earlier, working out the orientation of things from the pole star.

42 degrees @5:30 am and will be 60 later. Whoopi!!!! Tomorrow is going to be 70 degrees. In FEBRUARY????? Unheard of!!!!

It's already 68 degrees, topping out mid-70s today, and damn near 80 tomorrow. This shit ain't natural, but I'm digging it, nonetheless. Mostly clear skies, for now, and that pleases me more than anything.

There was something about the polar vortex in the stratosphere dividing into two, giving abnormal air flows down at ground level.

eastern north America will be unusually warm,

Western North America and much of Europe will be unusually cold.

Clear, starry but not frosty yet.

I got to see the moon on my drive to work, 6 days into this cycle. Part of not seeing get it for so long must have been cloud cover, and perhaps the hilast getting in the way.
