Break in the storm.

In a moment of still air... The sun is slicing though the surrounding black clouds, slashing rain, and wind... to reflect off the steel grey lake, glossy black asphalt, and to light up a million zillion water droplets -like tiny suns or Christmas lights- held in the pine needles in the trees.

It was 22 this morning, with snow. Warmed up to 33, and by Wednesday it’s supposed to be 70. Hahahha, then winter hits again....

Kellogg's Frosted Flakes or maybe royal icing, take your pick, on the trees and down to the crispy cold tonight for here which is unusual for February. No royal icing on the grass at this time... yet. Hope it stays that way.

I'm boycotting anything Kellogs, the doctor half of the duo that invented cornflakes was a creepy perverted sadist, and dressed torture and mutilation up as treating "disease".

Mild and light rain here. It's not light enough yet to get a guage on the thickness of cloud cover, but the hill tops were in cloud or covered with thick Hill fog last night.

saw this threat float to the top and it reminded me I need to check to see how cold it's going to get tonight... and f$@%$%ing Hell, it's going to get to 16F/-9C. Sigh, that means I need to run around (limp) and make sure I'm prepared for the cold. And tomorrow night is supposed to be colder.

We interrupt this weather channel for a momentary whine -Bah, feeling sorry for myself. This house was built as a summer cabin and not meant for year round residence. It's draft and not insulated (except the floor). And the main heat is a wood stove which works well but takes maintaining which sucks a when you've blown out your knee. And I ran out of good wood and have been using scraps which I have to chop or saw up and since they are mostly thinner diameter it's also more times feeding the stove all of which sucks a week after knee surgery. I'll get the other space heater going and hope that's enough to keep the house somewhat warm. And... we now return you to our regularly scheduled program

@She Cat that weather is a bit insane. Do you get massive winds in between the cold and the warm?

Well, Muttly, it is snowing here, too. Not nearly as cold but we are supposed to get 10 inches. I love the snow like others like the summer's sunshine. I miss our wood stove. I love chopping wood for it. But, those chopping days are over. I am sorry about your knee. It does make things more difficult, I am sure. But, I do have to say there is nothing like wood heat. I hope you fare well and are somehow able to get a better quality wood for your stove. Is there anyone who is able to help you with your wood supply, especially since you are post-knee surgery?

Wishing you well, I hope that the forecast is exaggerating how cold it will be.

I'll not ask about the surgery, I'm a huge coward about knee surgery. Hope it heals well.
