Hi and welcome , I'm sorry to hear about your trauma. I work with adults who suffer from severe epilepsy and it is very scary, more so when it's someone you love and is part of your family. Have you spoken to your sister about how it made you feel, and about your flashbacks? Unfortunately as you said your family will accept it as part of not only your sisters life but all of your lives as epilepsy can be controlled but won't disappear, however with the correct medication it can be managed really well, I know people who have been seizure free for years. Have you had any therapy for your flashbacks ? Or us there anyone you can speak to about it in your family or a good friend ? I think it's very mature of you being able to identify how your feeling about the episode and wanting support, you've definitely come to the right place , everyone is very supportive here and non judgemental , but please don't bottle up your feelings and fears this will only make you feel worse. Here if you need to talk x
