Thank you so much
@ladee. The move is going to be slow and so not a big deal. I get to give away lots of stuff, and sell some and keep my chickens including some roosters. It will be nice to have 2 1/2 acres to play with. The first thing I'm doing is planting some fir trees for shade!
Last night LilLadee slept in the coop with the laying hens for the first time. I waited until all the other hens went to bed, then my son and I carried Ladee, Rooroo, Eva, and Falcon into to the big coop. Everyone was fine after LilLadee tried to fly out of a screened window. We shut the window except for a crack and this morning they seemed content. All summer I woke up a little before 5am to let them out, but now sunrise isn't until 5:45, but I still get up at 5. Ugh.
I grew some orange tomatoes and had a handful and one dropped. The girls were enjoying it so much I threw one1 to Dharma. Out of nowhere, LilLadee comes tearing past, grabs the tomato and takes off. Dharma was like - HUH!! A run by tomato snatching. I gave Dharma another and everyone was happy I still brought in 10 for me!
LilMrM had new pictures today since he is growing feathers on his head. It looks like he's sporting a "high and tight" cut. He wasn't too pleased when I brought him in to get my camera, but he was happy back with his tribe.
@MrMoonlight, here is the little guy, his face is a little dirty.
He has beautiful curly feathers, and is smaller than the rest, but he'll catch up. I didn't realize he was smaller until I looked at the last picture. They are always moving unless they are sleeping. They are hoping the cup has food under it, lol. The big black chick is a week older, and a bigger breed. Hope class went well, and I hope you get some rest.
