I'm really liking my new therapist. Nothing I want to discuss is off limits. I've had other therapists skirt my issues when I brought them up during the sessions. My current T was appalled that a T would do that.

Today we discussed many different topics all within an hour's time. She gave me quite a few insights into aspects of my abuse I never thought about, some quite obvious, yet I failed to see them. I'll be writing about the insights in my trauma diary.

And she wants to do couple's therapy. Wow! Everything is going to get worked on...finally. So pleased with my new T.

I am very happy for you and for going forwards too with your therapist in couples counseling. I think every married couple should have couples counseling anyways. Like it should be a requirement of getting married. Good luck

@Rain
I've done couple's counseling before however I wasn't ready to work on our issues as I needed to work on my issues.

My T also does couple's therapy for PTSD issues. She does it with veterans with PTSD as well.

She wondered if my husband would be willing to do couple's therapy. She said many men are not willing to do anything. My husband told me after my appointment that he was open to anything which needed to be done to help me and our marriage.
