One Hell Of A Summer

Well I seem to be on an upswing right now.

This summer has been a roller coaster for me.

My intensive therapy schedule was leaving me wiped out but I could feel the changes happening for the good. (UP)
My relationship was rocky, but felt like it was getting better. (UP and DOWN)
I closed my business. (DOWN)
I got a job with an understanding company (UP)
Hurricane hits east coast 3,000 miles away (FREAK OUT, DOWN)
Had to finally pack up and move out of my office (WAY DOWN)
Girlfriend leaves me (WAY DOWN)

Last week I slammed back into the floor. Stunned, I shook my head and wiped the blood from my nose. Now I am looking around at the fallout of my fall. As in days past, there is destruction all around me, but I am still here. I can see some light up above. I guess it is time to start climbing....again.

You're climbing and that's what matters.
Summers are odd. Somehow the less benign seasons seem to suit us better.
I like crisp clear dawns, I like the hard cold sky before dawn with bright stars.
And winter skies.
Anway mate, glad you're vertically positive.

Ned,

I am trying to figure out if I am laying on my back looking up or standing on my feet looking up. The good news is that either way I am looking up rather than holding on to the cart staring down at the rapidly approaching ground!

Myself I like summer. There is more light. It is warm, and my body doesn't hurt as much. The plants are green and the birds are signing.

I do like a deep dark night with a crisp chill in the air and the Milky Way out in all of it's glory. Living here in the Big City I rarely get to see the Milky Way, in fact I have met people who have never seen it! That just blows me away.

Anyway, thanks for the support brother. I have needed it.
