This has been really annoying me and as a female I need to vent!
Has anyone seen that Summers Eve "Hail to the V" feminine wash commercial? (It airs in the USA) It really annoys the heck out of me! The husband accidentally uses his wife's feminine wash (as a body wash) and is so disgusted that the rest of the commercial is spent showing all of the manly things he does to feel masculine again. You'd think that the wash actually contains estrogen instead of being "pH balanced" or whatever.
To me, it sends the message that guys hate the "V" and/or anything to do with it.... Of course, anything other than sex & getting off that is. Sorry if this sounds crass, as I know that a lot of guys don't feel this way, but that's the message I get from this lame commercial. What's worse is that the commercial tries to be all pro-female with its "hail to the V" slogan. What sort of message does this send to women?
Believe me, I've tried to interpret this is a different way----and no, I just can't. Then again, it is from a company that makes $$$$ off of convincing women that they ahem smell bad and desperately need to smell like a spring meadow down there. Perhaps I'm expecting too much?
Thoughts? Or simply feel free to add your own "bad" commercial!
