There Is Something Wrong With My Cat!?

Sometimes my cat would puke in the hall right by the bathroom door.. !!! I know she did it on purpose so I would shriek like a banshee from stepping in it in the middle of the night....I could just see her on the table just chuckling....
She may just be going thru adjustments with the hair balls gone... Did you get anything to put on her paws to lick off to keep the hair balls at bay??? the stuff at Walmart is called Hairball Remedy. You squeeze out some and put it on her paw... some cats will eat it out of the tube, not mine tho.. of course not...It's only a few dollars.... let me know how she is doing...

Because she is long haired and won't let you brush her, she may have another hairball.... :yuck:

@ladee thank you for all your advice. I gave her a little bit of tuna. See if she holds that down and will go today to get hairball stuff from walmart. She also ate two little bites of egg. Figure "real" food might be better for her then the crap they put in canned cat food.

She's still her lively old self, though. So, it gives me hope that it's nothing serious.

Maybe I will start brushing her on a regular basis, even though she doesn't like it that much. I think it needs to be done.

Okay I did brush her. She only tried to gnaw my arm off once:eek::D. I can't get to where I really need to, like her belly or near her bottom cuz she'll really try to kill me then.

But gave it my best effort. She looks all smooth and shiny now!

OH, she is in total control !!! One of the many reasons I love cats !! But great that you brushed her. Even a little helps... She looks like a long haired Tortie. My girl, Diva, that I had to put down in Jan was a Tortie !! It's called Tortitude !!!! I miss my precious girl every single day. I had her for 24 years. so in a way it is helping me to heal my loss by being the 'old cat lady' !!! She may just have a tender tummy right now.. And I agree with you about cat food. If she can tolerate real food... then spoil her more rotten than she already is !!!! And getting the hairball treatment will help. With her being long haired ,she will always have problems with hairballs... so using the stuff will help her to get them up with out pain and you freaking out... she will still make those awful noises when puking.... ahhh, the love of a cat !! Will take us places we never wanted to go... like stepping in cat puke on the way to the bathroom at 3 in the morning... oh man I miss my girl !!!

She's a maincoon mix. Mixed with what I don't know. I did get the hairball tx. from walmart. She licked it off my finger. I did call the vet. and they suggested giving her small meals throughout the day.

I boiled some chicken for her... So, far so good.

Well that is so good to hear !! If my Diva even suspected I got the HB remedy out of the drawer she would go hide... She hated that stuff. And trying to put it on her pay ... geez... sometimes it would end up on the wall with her fighting me... so that she licked it off your finger is good. It won't be difficult to keep giving it to her... and small meals won't make her tummy too full... Boiled chicken... what a spoiled girl... but happy to know she is getting better. I know she is loving all this attention !!!

Even feeding her several small meals throughout the day doesn't seem to satisfy her. We were eating before and she was all over us. I finally kicked her off the coffee table.

But glad to report: NO hacking, gagging or puking (today at least).

She was a matted mess. So, brushing wasn't doing it. So, I took the scissors and cut them out. She looks so funny, half of her back is bald:eek::D:p.

While she was eating her boiled chicken I was able to get her backside, which was a mess. She can't get back there to clean....still too fat!

OMG! Cat won't leave the kitchen. Camped out in front of food bowl.

She finally gave up LOL. Now asleep in blue chair in living room. But she gave it the old college try.:D:p

I am sorry, I know you are frustrated. but I am laughing out loud !!! Might as well give her more food.... the worst that will happen is she will puke it up... I know she didn't like the brushing of the backside !!! You'll have to post a picture of her new hair cut..... oh Heather... I need to laugh and I can just picture you telling her to shut the f*ck up for five minutes !!! Sending you hugs simply for holding on to your sanity !!!!
