She does NOT look happy... bless her heart... sorta like the kid huh !! Doing things because you have to to help and them not being happy..... give her a hug for me and DO NOT let her know I was laughing....

I've fed her probably six small meals today of chicken and NO puking. So, that's a good sign.

Also good news about Cocoa a.k.a. "fatty". Nicknamed with love:p

Vet. wants her to lose about 3 lbs. Just weighed her earlier and she's lost 1/2 lb! moving in the right direction:)

Only took 4 months to do it but it's a start.....she could've gained a 1/2 lb. Not bad.

Good to hear about 'fatty' loosing that weight... She is so beautiful... hope she keeps doing well and happy you are staying with it, it would be so much easier to give her what she wants !!! No more hair balls???? Give her a hug if she'll let you:shifty:

@ladee thank you. She only had one brief gagging spell (lasted less than 4 sec.).....but I called the vet. and checked in with her and she said as long as she didn't bring anything up, she's probably ok.

I gave her some more hairball stuff. I was able to brush her last night and she seemed to like it (was purring). She feels like silk.

She still can't clean her backside. So, I've had to do that for her. She's not happy about that at all but it's necessary (she's a stinky poo-poo:yuck:).

Hoping as she continues to lose more weight she can take care of her own bottom!

As mentioned, vaseline works well as a lubricant to release hairballs. Soft margarine and vegetable oil works also, and they will usually lap it up if you give them a teaspoon or so. If they won't take it, put some on your finger and smear it across their lips. They will lick it off instinctively. The other benefit of those products is that they also work as a pseudo-laxative. So, if your cat is plugged up at the other end instead, he/she will pass the obstruction.
