Today Is My Birthday

Well I woke up and realized I was 37 today. I take a look back on my life and remember all the shit I've been through and all of the times I should have died but I'm still here. They always say that the good die young so I guess I will live for a while.

Happy birthday! I tend to look at it this way - I plan on sticking around long enough to teach my grandchildren how to ride dirt bikes, shoot BB guns, pick locks and build working trebuchets and all the other stuff their parents will consider too dangerous but I feel are useful life skills but will remain "our little secretes" Some of these things I taught my daughters but what fun I will have being the cool Grandma who tells stories of her military service, bakes cookies and holds hand to hand combat classes. Planning for the future can be exciting my friend, choose yours and make it happen!!

I remember when I realized I was immortal... What does a motherf*cker have to do to die around here??? ... Spent 5 years trying to die, and I couldn't even get that right. Well, fine. Decided to live, and woke up in the hospital. Oh. So that's how you do it. Spent the next 10 years realizing the next stray feather falling could crush me to bits. I'm back to being immortal, again, though... So no worries ;)

@LIllabeth Don't forget to teach them how to reset pins & cores!!! No worries if it's someone else's lock, but if you f*ck up your own (or don't have tools handy and need to bump it) you're still stuck calling a locksmith. And they smirk at you when they realize what you've done.

@Friday - my point is that today and the day after and the day after that might suck but there are thing in the future to look forward to. I have watched my parents throw out all the rules I grew up with my kids and it looks amazing so I have set my sights on that :)
