Trust issues

Anyway, I have decided I'm not letting anyone take advantage of me again. It seems like the more I give, the more I get taken advantage of. I'm so annoyed because people take advantage of the fact that I actually care about them. They think they can treat me like a doormat and I will just put up with their behaviour because I will remain a loyal friend or whatever. My trust issues dont help and when people take advantage of my loyalty and friendship, it confirms my thoughts that some people just can't be trusted no matter how much you try to trust them. When I get taken advantage of so many times, I put a wall around my heart and shut down. No one understands in my life. My boyfriend sometimes takes advantage of my feelings for him. He knows what I dont like and he does it anyway. He does it over and over and over again. I'm about to end this relationship because I can't handle my feelings being taken advantage of anymore. I could get into more detail, but I won't for now. He is not violent or verbally abusive, he just doesn't change the behaviours that upset me which are affecting our relationship. He takes advantage of the fact I love him. I gave it my best go.

@FlyingHigh i too have difficulties in trusting others it takes me a long time to begin to trust people.
Sorry to hear you are going through these problems with your boyfriend,are you assuming he knows the things that upset you or have you discussed the matter with him and he still ignores your needs within the relationship?
I do hope you find the strength and courage to do what’s right for both you and your relationship.
