Wellbutrin's not doing anything

I am not sure what the official difference is but the XL is for extended release and I had a difficult time until I switched to XL.

My experience has been very positive and I am in a much better place. My concern now is trying to figure out when I am ready to discontinue taking something.

are Bupropion and Bupropion XL really different medications?

One is an extended release - and this is very different between generic manufacturers and the name brand. Brand is actually superior. The other is not an extended release, the dosing timetable is different. Also can be problematic with the generics.
