My first date in 5 years is weekend after next and I am looking forward to it!!!

@Gadgie I understand why your Christmas alone was so bad for you. I hope for you a lot of healing in this coming new year. You will always miss her because I miss my husband still so very much. But you will have had some more time to heal and to recover. I had to sell my home and move in with my daughter because of all of the memories of my husband in the home. i only made it five months living alone and now two years later I am living alone in my own apartment and enjoying my life and moving on. I know this does not help for how you feel in missing your wife but so happy that you are moving forwards to not be alone this holiday season.

I am very much looking forwards to getting my two granddaughters for a weekend visit. They are so excited to be coming over to be with me. I feel so loved by them. It is because I love them so much first. Love is never wasted it seems with children.

I am exploring some education to get a certificate as a CNA to help the elderly. i hope that it all works out and I find employment.
