What did you do today to chip away at your hypervigilance?

Meditation helps me relax, as does being in nature, with kids or animals, deep breathing etc.

Also... remembering that I don't have to stay in my old headspace of believing I'm not safe or worthy of any good thing. When I remember I'm an adult now with options, it helps quite a bit. Helps me feel a heck of a lot less powerless n fearful

My husband and I left a preschool orientation last night very amped up. I'll make a post about that in a minute. We discussed afterward what we were each doing to calm down. He was control breathing. I was being mindful of the trees. We also drove around for about an hour before we went home.
