What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

It must be mug cake night. :) WooHoo!! Thanks for the carrot cake idea. Will try that one night. I looked for a recipe to divert my attention from wanting to drive to the store for non-dairy ben and jerry. I discovered this little chocolate gem this evening and yum!

Although mine turned out more like a sheet cake/brownie combo rather than a fluffy coming up out of the mug scene....but I can live with that. It was still quite cake-like without having to make a whole one. I used chickpea flour and sunflower seed butter.


Before that, we had garlic flatbread made with sprouted spelt flour topped with Italian roasted plum tomatoes, onions, and marinated tofu.
 
Tandoori Chicken Leg :D With cilantro / fresh coriander & onion.

Meant to make a mint-cilantro chutney and forgot. The plum chutney in the fridge I also forgot about, but do in fact own, so may take a spoon to later. (The gosh durn company is eating the jelly with a spoon!:mad: ... LMAO :hilarious: One of the few things my grandparents would get mad about, was someone eating the preserves without a cracker/biscuit/bread/etc., and heaven forbid it was a guest, who couldn’t be told to stop or have hell rained down on them from above, because guest-rights. And the apoplectic whispers as they lost their ever loving mind, behind the kitchen partition. So it always amuses me to skip the toast, and just go for the jam. Just sort of in tribute. ;))

Lots of water....then ate fresh watermelon on the front porch, spittin' the seeds out into the pouring down rain....next is gonna be leftover marinated tofu/red onion/romaine/spicy mustard on a couple slices of "artisan" loaf I made with sprouted spelt flour....and I have no clue yet as to what supper may be.

So today's frittata was born from leftovers and a want for Pesto.

And I really didn't know what it was gonna taste like but bloody Nora :singing:

I've written it down so I can make it again - started a record of Frittatas :laugh: ? ?

As before, fried onions, new potatoes & peas but with added - sliced garlic, chilli flakes, streaky bacon, roasted red peppers, chopped basil & cheddar and some sun dried tomato Pesto whisked into the eggs.

Tasted really indulgent even though it's still healthy.

Eaten with salad
 
@berlinda ... Nope! But I’ve worked the line in restaurants here & there when I needed the cash. On a few different continents. Everyone hires kitchen staff with no papers, thank goodness. It’s my version of waitressing. But you dont have to look pretty and you get to use knives :sneaky: :D
