What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

Vegan chili that we made and froze back in October, along with grilled cheese sandwiches made with vegan/gluten-free bread, vegan mayo, vegan buttery spread, and tomato/cayenne vegan cheese....much more comfortable than usual comfort food of days gone by, I guess...made possible/necessary by being catapulted into altered consumption habits via past emergency room visits and hospitalization(s).

Coconut butter/sunflower seed butter/peanut butter/maple syrup fudge will be for dessert....already taste tested and approved....YUM!
 
Grabbed some garden tomatoes out of the freezer and thawed and blended them to make a sauce...added basil, oregano, rosemary, garlic powder, dulse flakes, crumbed No Bull veggie burgers, leftover veggie loaf, and leftover sauteed greens/peppers/onions and served it over rice noodles. Then I took some of that fudge I made and dipped it in melted dark chocolate chips...kicked that flavor up a couple notches, for sure.

Coke & Hamburger with... beets??? I had to try it! (Tins of sliced beets were on sale.) Has the potential to be good, I think? Too novel for me to really parse.


@Friday - What does a canned beet taste like? I used to get them for my ex to have with cottage cheese. Cold, wet, what?? I do want to try roasted beets like what I see on cooking programs. Do they taste the same, but are warmed? Tks. VB
