Bahn Mí

Dunno what cottage pie is but will look it up.

It's like shepherds pie, but with beef instead of lamb :)

This one was cubed chuck roast seared with purple onion & garlic & salt/pepper, then boiled in Cabernet, beef broth, rosemary, crimini mushrooms, & baby carrots. Roux'd thick, poured into ramekins, topped with mashed potatoes & leeks, then baked till bubbly.

The biggest pain is always the leeky mashed potatoes, if I'm not feeling up to that step I switch white wine for red, add lavender, skip the roux, & eat with super crusty baguette. Wham bam, switches from cottage pie to Pot-au-feu.

I had a cashew butter sandwich with a banana and salted dark chocolate. First time in a long while I gave myself permission to eat a sandwich slathered in nut butter, and then chocolate. Not feeling guilty about it. It was good.

Yesterday Mr cooked for me, spaghetti marinara & roast pork with veg. Both excellent & delicious.

Sausages and mash with tomato ketchup, strawberries and cream, lots of water, big spoon of peanut butter...my stomach is still growing at me ffs :cautious::roflmao::stop:
