What I ate got stuck in my esophagus and made me sick. I am on two meds; one for nausea and vomiting and one for what I suspect is a peptic ulcer. I used to have Barette's Esophagitis which is a precancerous condition. I thot it was gone, but it seems as though it is back.

I have had a big bowl of Cheerio's with 2% milk ...

...as it is all I can eat that doesn't hurt on the way down.

Some of those meds interact reeeeally badly, including fully stopping peristaltic action. The choking isn’t so bad as it’s noticeable//fixable very early, but blockages and ruptures/perforations further on down the line get life threatening complicated very very quickly. Most interactions with zofran (not sure if that’s the anti nausea you’re on, but it’s the best, WUV zofran, so I would usually hope so if it doesn’t interact with more needed meds) cause serotonin syndrome or long QT issues (dangerous irregular heartbeat), but a few cause near to total loss of motility along the GI tract.

IE Just a friendly neighborhood reminder to have your pharmacist double check all of your RX & OTC drugs for interactions when something wacky happens!

We need you round these parts, mister.

You are right....It is Zofran and Carafate that I am taking for this problem.

Typo! Fixed.

Black eyed peas, celery/onion/green bell pepper, garlic, smoked ham/shank/bacon… simmered in chicken stock. Shank first, until it pulls apart; then sautéed Trinity+garlic+bacon, ham & black eyed peas. Salt/pepper/bay leaf.

We make a giant pot of them every New Year’s Eve, freeze about half, and they make breakfast for the next month or so.

If you cook rice in the chicken stock/beany water, and stir it in, (and add a handful of spice) it’s called “Hoppin John”. Side dish for any/most Cajun/Creole meals, and a meal in and of itself. I prefer to leave the rice out, and eat on toast, though.

More similar to Mayonnaise. Just thinned with vinegar and has added spices and mustard.

Far more common in England than North America.....I saw and read about it enough I had to try it and since Heinz sells it here.....I did.

I love salad cream, got a fancy for it with boiled egg, new potatoes and leafy green salad. It's much tangier and less creamy / fatty than mayo.
