Ok, these past couple of weeks have been nerve wracking to say the least. I had to appeal for my financial aid because I haven't done well the last 2 semesters due to medical problems (hip surgery and severe head injury) and my PTSD. Thankfully I have an awesome doctor and psychiatrist who wrote letters explaining the difficulties I have had and this got my financial aid re-instated. I also finally got my Disability services accommodations. I also talked with my DSS counselor about when I do get my service dog (which I am hoping will be this summer). She said she would help me in whatever way she could to make that an easy transition and would help me in notifying my instructors in a way that did not obviously give away that I have PTSD and severe depression. I got approved for the following accommodations:

Extended time on exams (double)
Extended time on in-class assignments (double)
Other (Alternate format for oral presentations when reasonable)
Peer notetaker
Permission to take short breaks
Permission to use audio recorder
Preferential seating
Provision to make up work due to disability-related absences
Reasonable number of disability-related absences

So I hope these will help me do a lot better this semester!

On the work side of things, my doctor has told me to wait another couple of weeks 0_o. I have seen the chiropractor twice now for adjustments. When we did the X-rays and scans, it should that my neck is completely straight when its suppose to have a 40 degree angle and my hips are uneven, therefore misaligning my back. Also, I have several pinched nerves in my neck, upper and lower back. My dr said if I go back to work right now, it would just fight the work that the adjustments are doing. So I am living off my excess financial aid (thankfully). I am trying to think positive and that this time will allow me to focus more on school.

Kudos to you for getting your needs met. I'm afraid to go back to school because of my school history. That was a strong stand you took.

Don't worry about work. You don't want to mess up what you are repairing.
