@ladee, I have to keep you updated on tiny ladee. She is in a separate brooder with the chick who has a bad leg. They are both 1 week and 3 days old. I went out this morning and Ladee was helping Nubs remove the splint on her legs. Ladee knows this makes Nubs so unhappy. When they are able to get it off overnight, Nubs can't move, so Ladee feeds her like a mother bird! I was astonished since I haven't seen that behavior in chickens. She is a kind, empathetic soul like her namesake! I hope to breed her, because I want to breed chickens with great personalities.
