Ask a foreigner

What are twizzlers?
Twizzlers -the original are these amazing strawberry flavoried licorice strips. DO NOT confuse them with cherry licorice as the don't even compare and strawberry twizzlers can be eaten, used as a straw, cut into even pieces and use when playing poker w/o money as they are very valuable. they are manna from heaven.

Bisquick, I don't know if I could have grown up cooking without, pancakes, waffles, crepes, bisquits, shortbread, casserole topping, crust for cobblers, I have an entire cookbook of recipies using Bisquick.

And the Twinkies...they are probably the same ones from a few years ago when they took them off the shelves!! You just aren't American if ya don't like Twinkies!! And they do have a FOREVER shelf life!

Pumpkin pie spice? 4 teaspoons cinnamon, 2 tsp. Ginger, 1 tsp cloves and 1/2 tsp Nutmeg.

OMG you can make a whole menu out of that. Used to take it on canoe trips in Wells Grey park in British Columbia. Mix it like bread, stick it on a stick and bake it over a nice cedar/hemlock fire. Slather it in butter....

Then roast marshmallows for desert.

Whats a mummer?

Holy crap thats hysterical!

Twinkees are like a cream filled sponge cake and they will last forever

Hubby loves fruit loops with marshmallows 😆 I think it's disgusting

And bisquick makes great pancakes and biscuits ( the American kind..not cookies kind)

American style toasting marshmallows? Lol we just call them marshmallows
Can't make s'mores without them!

Diet hack for brownies......one box of chocolate cake and one large can of pumpkin (not pie mix) blend well and cook in a one layer pan. They come out really dense and chocolaty...and way less calories!

Canned pumpkin is hard to get here - easy near US bases. Whenever I see the Libby’s I grab some because the price to get it mail order is also astronomical- and i like to have some at hand for various things. Fwiw the range of fresh squash and pumpkins in main supermarkets in U.K. is also limited. :(.

Glad to hear you won't be trying that gravy. It is full of chemicals and food coloring. Nothing about it resembles gravy! I'm sure the one you use is much healthier!!
