Relationship Last Night's Incident... Sigh!

Where basically people fall over and men get hit in the nuts? And everyone watching finds it frickin hilarious?

Yes... the thing is, I don't find it hilarious. Still trying to figure out if that's personal preference or what.

@sun seeker - its ok not to find it funny. My mum hates those video shows. She says it makes her cry because she feels so bad for the people in them and she gets very angry with my dad when he laughs. I don't find this particular incident funny either, but that's probably because it happened to me!

@TreeHugger - For example, if my vet is out hunting and I am away interstate he may take the long route home rather than cross a swollen creek at night. If he knows I am at home waiting for him, he will risk the creek because he knows its the first place I would look for him. So he will risk a sprained ankle knowing I can help him home if necessary. That;s pushing things. I wish he wouldn't! :eek:

Thank you @Sighs for your help! Do I understand this right; "Pushing things" is to take higher risks than usually would be necessary?

Lol - define necessary! My vet takes on much higher levels of risk than anyone else I've ever met. Partly because he is very good at assessing risk and does so before taking action, but partly because to quote him "If no-one is shooting at me while I do this then the risk is not that high".

When he knows he has "back up" (ie: me!) then that lowers the risk and allows him to "push things". :facepalm: Does that make sense?
