I am not a fan of the rock music in stressful situations. Why do people do that?They were playing rock music in the operating theatre whilst I was having surgery. I was lying on the slab saying 'more morphine '!!! It was an experience to say the least.
That is a lovely idea!I was meaning to reply to your thread @woodsy1 but I was tardy.
Another thing that you can do (I haven't done it for a long time but I am considering beginning again). You can go and check out folks Birthdays https://www.myptsd.com/members/ and put a Birthday Greeting on their Profile Page or in chat! It's a nice way to get to know folks and for some folks it might be the only Birthday wishes they get so it's a meaningful thing to do!
I'd say if it continues, speak up how you feel about it. Be gentle, be kind, smile if there seems to be understanding. Tell them you need to concentrate on your work and can't focus well if you need to listen and reply, etc.Need a lil advice : My colleague is leaving unfortunately in January. We both are quite introverted people and we don’t like to talk constantly. Today we met a new candidate who is applying for the job and right away she began to talk for a long time. I personally dislike talking about unnecessary things especially if the person is a stranger to me. Going to be tough

I did a lot of meditation this morning and some really healing work with myself. It's not easy but it's going well.

Wow I didn't know that.You know, I'm schizoaffective which is like having schizophrenia and bipolar. So my mind is having trouble at this time. I am hearing voices and having hallucinations. I am able to differentiate between these things and reality. But it is taxing. And add PTSD to all that, well, I'm a mess.
