Dental phobia that isn't

I love wearing the x-ray vest. For me, it has the same effect as a weighted blanket.

Don't think I've ever had to wear one of those for dental xrays. Is that common practice for all dental xrays where you are or was there a special reason for it?

I have only been to two dentists and they both had me wear one. They're both in the same state, though. I've only been there when women of childbearing age have been getting x-rays, so that might be part of it.

@digger & @Nessa7 - a vest is always used when I have had an x-ray but it's so quick it is on & taken off in an instant. Maybe it depends on the x-ray? Idk but they are so expensive!
