She called an hour later, and explaned that because I was the primary account member, she couldn't make any changes, including get a new phone. The change she made was to make herself a co-primary account member on our account.

Angus I am sorry for how you feel and don't want to dampen your spirits any further however I am too logical for my own good so must ask........ how can an account member make themselves a co-primary holder without the primary holder's consent?

I know I am late to respond but it just stuck out at me when I started reading and it doesn't make sense to me.

I do wish you well and trust your wife maintaining your account as a good thing. Just in Australia, I couldn't even make changes to our home internet plan, until Anthony authorized me to be able to do so on the account, being that he was the one who set up the account (primary member).

I'm not sure how, but the cell phone company did notify me of the change, and gave me the option to change it back.

It's all moot now.
