Hmmm. Seems we all have more than just terrible shit in common. I'll take some pics of the f16 I did. 9 months. Some 12 and 14 hour days..... hiding, maybe?

Big week. Finally admitting to stuff and half the thoughts and memories I have now since then, I'm rethinking them and why i did what I did.

So this weekend just gone I was at a "Modeling Meet". No not tarts and nakedness.

Modeling as in Figures, Diorama`s and such, all including the theory behind the painting and putting it all into practice.

So everything from Base building, figure alterations and painting was covered. And well here are the results, from start to finish.

And then getting it painted. These are just the base colours, details still need doing..........



And her again.......with base colours and Light and shadow added to the skin.



And the finished Products, but still need to transfer her to the base...............



And well the weekend was fun, and has got me working again in the Display area, long time since I have done anything like it, and well practice makes perfect and therefore I have allready started the next one.

Hive Tyrant, primed in Black and then sprayed with White primer from above to show OSL (Object Source Lighting) for when I start painting



and the base for him, which still needs a few details adding to cover cracks, gaps and glue......



And the placing check to ensure it all fits before we get to far down the line......

I painted before I got married. I tried after getting married but I just couldn't get things going again. Now that I am divorced I am chomping at the bit to try some more. I bought an easel and I hope in the next few months to have some money to buy some canvas and oils and gesso. I mostly painted modern. Not much of a still life or landscape kind of painter.
If I ever get back into my home I can get some of my supplies and even old art out. I will share as soon as I have something to show. Money is tight and I don't have furniture yet for the new place s art is a back burner for now.
I like to take photos as well. The bird for my avatar I took about 6 years ago.

I'm learning to play the piano. I mangled my first piece of Beethoven the other day...

Hey O, whats mangle to some is music to others!!!! Just keep at it, it'll get better. Music is a two dimensional concept. When you play a piece well, you feel good because you mastered it, those of us that listen, enjoy what you have created. It's win-win all the way.

Hell, if Beethoven sheet music is anything like the bible, he might have meant it to sound that way! Joke there, just a joke.

I use piano as therapy, depended on it to distract me during the worst times which worked well since I had to fully concentrate and could escape. Keep after it.
