You may find he surprises you - I hope so. There are lots of times I find Husband copes with the big stuff much better than the small stuff. Fingers crossed xxx
That is tough to loose someone unexpectedly, for the family and friends. Feeling numb is to be expected and it may take a while for him to process the grief. Everyone has their own way of grieving, but having PTSD definitely makes the process a little harder.
It is so good that he has you in his life. Your care and compassion never cease to amaze me.
(((Amethist))) I'm so sorry :( I can't imagine how hard this must be for you both. You're in my thoughts, I shall light a candle for you all. (((hugs)))
So sorry to hear of your loss. It never seems as if we can afford to lose a friend. And sudden tragic deaths add shock and increased confusion to the mix.
Hubby got himself together and phone his wife today, he fell apart after, but was determined to do it. He will make it through the funeral, but I will have to keep an eye on him.
I dont think she knows about his PTSD, though does know he has problems.
I'll be sending good vibes, positive thoughts and any other means I can think of your way next Thursday. I'm so sorry he has lost a good friend. That is always hard no matter what state of mind you are in.
He should be very proud of himself to have been able to call the wife today to express his condolences.
Don't forget to take care of yourself too Amethist. (((hugs)))
