I spoke to my son a few weeks ago about his external safe and internal safe places. I asked where he noticed his anxiety or stress manifested within his body and what methods he used to dissipate or move his energy. He has been practicing on these techniques in somatic therapy. It is assisting him in lowering his over all anxiety.
 
@Recovery4Me Still trying to build trust, yes I am also trying to meditate. So far the success is that I am able to sit in meditation. 1st step has been achived, now more two steps and they are empty the mind and be ready to go in and far.

@WildMermaid Yes I have found one place which is safe heaven for me. It is outside. I would like to find one internal. I am interested to learn with you as you have mentioned you know more. Please do share them with me. I will give it a go with one which sounds to me. I am curious and looking forward to it.. :)
 
:hug: back at you! Talk therapy is not for everyone!

This is so true, you can only do so much with talk therapy! I am exploring my own therapy and treatment options available to me as I need to move away from working and take my mental health and overall health seriously.

This has been my ongoing battle for seeking disability benefits. I have a feeling that I am slowly, following stepping stones toward this even though I was thrown a couple more hurdles I was curious about. So, I am not giving up the fight, gotta get more ducks I have hidden away in the line up!

Yes, since I have started walking I have been working on how to lower down the stress. Stress consumes my energy, I noticed this. So I try to do something that distracts me from stress and result I can enjoy walking session without having to mess with my energy level. It's amazing, working on any technique does lower down the stress/anxiety. Believe in this.
