In light of trying to stay accountable:
Hi, as you know, I'm going to see a trauma and PTSD T in March when my insurance becomes effective. She was one of the Ts who responded to another Psychologist back channeling through the Psychology network to see who was very experienced.
Everything had been going well on the phone. The new T even gave me her email address in case I needed someone to talk to in the meantime or in case I had any questions. She has been responding. February 1st through February 9th, we exchanged probably like 10 emails with a day or two in between some. She also referred me to a neuropsych who was well versed in PTSD who helped me a lot.
Well, I emailed her on February 10th to tell her how my appointment went with the neuropsych and to thank her for the referral. I also emailed her 2 days ago to ask her if we could set up an appointment for our first session in March.
She has not responded to either of my emails. February 10th was 8 days ago. I realize she can't like talk to me every waking moment. I do not have that expectation, but I thought my last two emails were really important in making the next steps to my treatment plan.
What are your thoughts? I do feel unacknowledged and ignored. I am open to the fact that my feelings might not be true.
BUT, I did receive this email from her before I sent the email about my neuropsych appointment on Feb 10th:
"Hi,
I saw an email from you, but now it's not showing up in my inbox (or trash). I believe you asked what to prepare for. I do not know what he will specifically ask; however, I do know he said he treats symptoms not diagnoses. Therefore, you'll likely be asked to describe current symptoms. I don't imagine you need to go into the trauma history too deeply. Please let me know how it goes."
Perhaps she is having an email server issue? Maybe I just figured it out on my own. Should I call her? I feel silly. I don't want to bug her lol
