I met with my Pdoc, my T and my PCP this week all as follow up to my inpatient. While I was gone the governing board created for themselves another legal and ethical dilemma that will likely result in a very expensive employment lawsuit. In speaking with my doctor his recommendation was that I find a way to extend my current short term disability and find a way to get them to buy out my contract that my job is continuing to make me sicker both physical and mental. Is that his way of saying I am at least for this job no longer able to withstand the rigors of the job.

I just can't handle ambiguity. It makes me paranoid. :(

Are you on FMLA? Or does it not apply because you are a contractor?

And -- can your doctor give you something in writing that links the hostile work environment to your increased symptoms? especially since you have been out already and they are not helping?? That might help with the getting them to buy you out part

@Freida I am on FMLA and STD but I have only been approved to be off for two more weeks. The challenge is that my t is the person that completed the paperwork for my FMLA and STD and I am not sure my employer would appreciate it if my PCP was the one to extend it. When I talked to my t he is reluctant to do so unless I have a return date to River Oaks in the near future.

@Freida it is a much bigger leap than I would like to start with but I think that I am going to need to try.the very idea of going back to my job right now is terrifying and causing major panic attacks. I can't even read news stories about my employer without a panic attack.
