What Are You Looking Forward To?

I'm going to the fair later today. It's a family tradition now at the end of summer. We have been once already but you have to go a couple times to really get your fill, at least we do. I love the 4H and all the homey old fashioned stuff. We walk around and eat "fair food" and top it off with fried dough and ice cream, which of course ruins us for a few days. I put the crock pot on this morning. It has to cook 8 - 12 hours. I always look forward to that. It gives us easy microwave meals for a week. I make chicken or beef. One of my daughters nicknamed the result "monkey see monkey stew." It's always good.

`I'm looking forward to more of my heirloom tomato and pepper plants to mature!! And to planting more carrots, lettuce, spinach, and kale! Maybe some broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower too!

My best friend, J, has a birthday on Saturday. I am looking forward to taking her for dinner or dessert or whatever. I am really excited to give her a gift. I really think she will like it. I hope so.
