Last night's dinner for our guest consisted of appetizers being sliced red and orange bell peppers along with fresh cucumber slices with chickpea salad dip, then a tossed garden salad, then gluten-free rotini pasta tossed with blended heirloom tomatoes, fresh picked basil, and some roasted cherry tomatoes seasoned with chopped garlic and oregano, topped with your choice of nutritional yeast and hemp hearts or "stinky foot" cheese (Parmesan) - I learned many store brands contain wood pulp in addition to the basic main ingredient of the animal secretions...gross.
Dessert options were fresh picked strawberries and black raspberries and/or gluten-free vegan chocolate cupcakes. I no longer eat fruit after eating other food groups, as it can act as a gut grenade due to digesting much faster, so I chose the chocolate. They drank red wine, I drank an herbal infusion made with stinging nettle, burdock root, and sarsaparilla.
Today, I plan to hydrate like a mofo until well after lunch with lots of water and herbal infusions, then graze the berry bushes and leftovers. Gonna share some more samples of my vegan vittles at my favorite cafe, too. It's always more fun to share the actual food than try to explain how good it is. Most folks equate things that are good for you as automatically being the absolute least flavorful things no one ever really desires. Beep. Wrong answer. lol Not in my kitchen, anyway. C'mon over. :)
