Chat, check-in, and hang out

Yeah I imagine it's pretty scarce especially this time of year. I must say I'm glad your OK though. How's your health?

Not great.

There was another trip to hospital a couple of nights ago. My mood is pretty up and down.

Weird stuff is happening, too; when I get stressed the muscle memory in my arm freaks out and I have to surreptitiously go through the motions of loading and making ready an L85 or AK74 to get the arm to relax.

On the plus side, I have started singing while I walk about again. That's a fairly 'normal for me' thing.

I like the fact that your singing whilst walking about. That's a good sign. Good luck today.

Reading and hanging in there.

Went with B to see K for three hours, K is a rip off merchant, cleaned my car out to search for the key, went shopping for a book for Xmas, then I was overwhelmed, B went shopping and I sat in the car.

Another big storm last night.

So many folks upset at their Insurance Company going slow or just automatically denying their claim. I feel for folks. This is the new normal and I thought I was prepared but I am struggling.

I haven't been able to live in the house for three months but before that I had to sleep in the car after Cyclone Alfred.

I am standing up to B a lot more.

I am not able to stand the heat. The increase is too much for me.

Things are challenging.

We had Xmas with electricity. No 10 plus days of no electricity.

Still struggling mightily with the Insurance Company. But it is nothing personal. The Insurance Company is doing this type of thing to people in this area.

It's really taking a serious toll on me. But I keep hanging in there. I have actually managed

The plasterer who plastered over the phone connection and denied it was every there came back to fix his mistake. So he plastered so the gyprock doesn't touch the floor and put the holes for the water heater in the wrong places.

The guy who cropped out the fence sticking out of the root ball and Aaron told us the tree was 2 metres from the fence came back to assess the angry plasterers job and laughed at me and mocked me saying you can't expect the plaster to touch the floor. It did previously for 25 years. So I didn't argue with him. I will put in another complaint.

They are doing such a poor job and still haven't paid for the caravan for the last month. The financial stress is severe.

So I didn't buy anything for Xmas because I don't know how things are going to go financially. Just a book for B. I got two books. A little present for two kids and that was it.

Despite sleeping in the car, living in a house, hotel, and now a second caravan I am hanging in here.

We have lost three quarters of our household contents. No beds, no couches, it is all gone.

Sorry to hear that, Spock. I hope nothing irreplaceable was lost.

Someone had a fairly hefty firework display tonight while I was walking off dinner.

Amazing how much it sounded like a desperate gunfight.

I think I might have had my first proper war flashback. I'm just lucky there was no traffic, as I froze up in the middle of the road. I needed to grab my rifle and get in the fight, you know? But I knew there wasn't really a fight and I couldn’t figure out what to do. So I went with 'sweat profusely and throw up'.

Yay, me.
