Clear and frosty.
There's a thin covering of snow at this altitude (under 300m/1,000 feet) and it's cold enough for it to be squeaky when I walk on it.
There's a bit too much light pollution from the nearest village for me to see the milky way, and the moon has risen now as well, so the sky is comparatively bright.
I've still managed to see three shooting stars tonight.
Two were dim and very fast, just streaks straight across the sky. The third was very bright, white and slow, going approximately from North to South. Towards the end, it got a bright rusty orange red glowing trail.
A bit of the drive tonight was on freshly snowploughed roads. I actually enjoy driving on snow and ice when the road is quiet, and when I've got decent tyres on.
