Im not sure where to put this and this is my first thread so bare with me. I don't eat that much. Maybe a full meal every two days. I've dropped 27 lbs in the last two months(ill probably gain it all back as soon as I'm eating again) does anyone else experience dramatic weight changes? Also lack of appetite; the longest I've gone without food is 4 days. Probably not very good for me but sometimes the thought of eating is nauseating. Thoughts?

I do at times. It seems to be following my depression curve I think. The past 4 months i dropped close to 30 pounds.

But when I get stressed i tend to over eat. And a lot of junk food.

Same here. Was getting told yesterday I looked skinny. I don't eat how I was before that's for sure. My sleep schedule is all ass backwards and I counter act it by using the green leaf from Dr. GreenThumb. With out that, I really don't eat. Can feel my stomach eating itself but couldn't even think of eating and would probably vomit. Not to sound like I'd vomit on purpose but yes nauseating.

Eat, every time you remember to, even if you aren't hungry. Even if you're nauseous (oddly, eating can fix that nausea a lot of the time). If you have to, drink it. Like Ensure & weightlifter protein smoothies, not Coke/Pepsi, but soda is still better than water when you're not eating. (Brain runs on glucose. If you're not feeding it sugar every day -all sugars break down into glucose for your brain) then it starts breaking down fat/muscle/organs trying to get the glucose it needs (and the nutrients your body needs)... Also known as ketosis.

I was doing triage in the ER during the Atkins craze. Where people were cutting out all sugar. And every night we'd have at least one (sometimes more) coming in with ketoacidosis. Delusions, hallucinations, seizures, coma, death. Fun shit.

People make fun of my soda habit, but it's half so that when I do hit a rough patch (like now) and keep forgetting to eat? I'm not starving my brain. Poor old thing has enough wrong with it not to have to go through seizures on too of everything else!

I know a few battle buddies that have run across this issue and had to figure out on their own that it was a medication issue. No once seemed to be properly managing their med soups or had misread tests leading to an incorrect medication. Always advise people to try to be as smart as their medical team and try manage your care since no one else is likely doing that properly for you. Sludge has offered to look up medications for us. I know in one particular case the weight loss issue had to do with a improperly issued thyroid med I believe.

Definitely have problems eating I went from 187 to 155 in probably 6 months. I believe that the pain pills make me not want to eat.

I got out weighing 175. Now I weigh 180. But it has reditributed some. LOL.

But 5 months ago I was at 205. I obsess over my weight. Mainly cause I know I feel better when I am at this weight.

If only i could kick the pain. I could start exercising more. I tried to run the other night. Just f*cking shoot me. My entire body screams. Not enormous pain. But enough to not be fun.

I'll figure it out. Low impact. But i need cardio too.

I hear you Grizz, the constant pain makes it hard to get motivated to exercise. I loved running but I haven't been able to because of the nagging, constant joint pain. I can push through it, no problem, but I have to be able to move the next morning.

Ellipticals until endurance is back for joints. Even after it's back. Cortisone shots if you have decent cartilage (not it!) left. Cortisone eats cartilage, so you don't want to overdo it.

f*ck. "You know you're depressed when..." You wake up, get up, have a normal day... And by the end of it are too cramped and sore to move for a week. Oh. I guess I have been flat out on the couch for 6 months. When walking around the house makes you sore? You might need antidepressants!

Thats it atilla and Friday.

I have a treadmill. It usually gets used in the winter. Its too nice to exercise indoors in the summer. But to run again...not in the cards. Might as well walk on nails.
