Very nice bottle of wine. All proceeds to HfH and RBL. We do it every year on Remembrance Sunday. Used an 1898 Long Lee (.303) with black-powder cartridges. Then you have to boil out the barrel! The good bit is washing the fired cases in the sink, stinks the house out.....
Edit: To be a bit more thoughtful, it brings it home in a way. First there's the rapid-fire range detail, then a quiet little Remembrance bit, right on the firing point. Today was bright, crisp November sunshine, clear blue sky. Bit like ones in the past, in other places. And I did remember, and it felt right.
