What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

@Rose White it's a chocolate fridge cake ish sort of thing. My mum made it when we were young n I loved it. I've become a bit of a snob food wise in my old age and really didn't like the Tiffin I made the other night. Because I totally forgot that I make it quite a bit differently to the original recipe now. So yeah, the original recipe is hideously sweet. Anyways here is the recipe for the one I like.

Tiffin
100g butter
20g sugar
3 tbsp cocoa
2 tbsp agave
100g digestive biscuits - apparently a bit like graham crackers
75g oats
50g nuts, Chopped or flaked, roasted if you can be arsed
50g raisins & peel (for my half)
50g glacé cherries (for P's half)
150g single origin dark chocolate

Melt butter, sugar, agave, cocoa, & 30g chocolate gently in a saucepan
Crush biscuits gently in a bag with a rolling pin add to sauce pan with oats and nuts. Do leave quite a few Chunks of biscuits tho, for texture
Mix it all together
Split into 2 halves, add cherries to one half, add peel and raisins to other half.
Line a small tin with greaseproof paper
Pour mixture in,
Melt rest of chocolate in a bain Marie, pour over and when cool enough place in fridge

Last had 2 stuffing balls that I forgot to have with my turkey dinner
Sparkling water

So quirky! In my own life tiffin is somewhere between 11sies & Tea. Snack, somewhere in American. Not an after-school snack, but closest to it. Heavy in sugar & fat. Like milk & cookies. Or peanut butter & honey. Or a brownie/cake/pastry of some kind. Not heavy enough to ruin your dinner. Nor light enough to demand more. A bite. A nosh. An indulgence.
