My mom could probably be described as such. And much of the time, I blamed her more than him. Now that she has died, suffering a lot in the process, and time has given me some perspective my take is somewhat different. Lowest of the low? No, I'll reserve that for the perps. And when it comes to my mom, I feel sorry for her. She had a lot of untreated mental health and later physical health issues. My dad gaslighted and verbally abuse her. Does that make the ways she was complicit in what he did ok? Hell no. Does that make women like her and this woman unique. Sadly not.
